Great write up; agree 100% on your read on things. This game succeeds so well, and lives up to the promise of your choices mattering more than nearly any other game. Normally, I wouldn't recommend replaying a game like this before you completed the whole thing, as dissapointment awaits (your hundreds of hours of free will boiling down to the "pick a color" Mass Effect ending, or the crushing dissapointment of the utter lack of impact of anything you did in Heavy Rain), but within the course of the first episode, I'd already DRAMATICALLY impacted the story arc on a second playthrough that pays dividends throughout.
