Celebrities Read Mean Tweets About Themselves
This is a skit on Jimmy Kimmel I found particularly profound as I’ve been meaning to write something on “adult cyberbullying” for some time now. Yes, it’s true, bullying doesn’t affect you quite the same way when you’re older, as you’re no longer at an impressionable age. But the fact is, it still sucks. Writing online, I’ve heard every personal insult in the book, and reading even one “you’re a horrible writer/individual/looking person” can really ruin your day.
But I have it easy compared to someone who is actually famous. It’s ASTONISHING how much venom people love spewing at celebrities for seemingly no reason at all. Selena Gomez will post a picture of her dog on Instagram and she’ll have fifty comments calling her a slut.
That’s why I like what Kimmel’s done here. He has the celebrities themselves reading the mean things people say about them on Twitter. Even if you’re rich and famous, I’m betting it gets to them sometimes. It gets to me.
More Unreal Posts

Have you seen the documentary on this topic, “Heckler”? Pretty good stuff. When you get into the public eye or put yourself out there online, you have to expect people to take shots at you. I used to be pretty active writing and posting online and have been attacked in every way aside from hacking, but I always loved it. Words on a screen, man. It’s all words on a screen. Words on a screen that are written by people who read what you wrote and felt strongly enough to take time out of their day to post. Good or bad, you win. Trolling on the internet is the default setting. Anyone can be a bully when they are anonymous. It’s goddamn meaningless. But someone posting something nice; that is something worth paying attention to because you know they mean it.
Although I think it’s a pretty cool video…I have to admit some of those tweets where actually pretty funny
I don’t understand it when people truly hate on celebrities when we don’t even know them. Anyways, I love reading Unreality daily!
Not only funny, well deserved like Justin Bieber should die, my niece would cry but she is like 4 years old she doesnt know about LIFE! And I beg to repeat, what the fuck is the Katy Perry Movie, that seriously cant be a thing. Please tell me that aint a thing. I like big boobs and pretty women like any other young dude, they have gotten me in trouble countless times, but wh…is it one of those concerts “movies”? That aint a fucking movie. This is bullshit.
But by the same token, celebs get heaps of praise upon them for no reason too, so you have to kinda balance it out.
I’m sure the millions upon millions of dollars they have will dry their tears.
Justin Beiber “deserves” to die for making music that you, personally, don’t enjoy? The 18 year old who has already donated more to charity than you will make in your lifetime? And why shouldn’t Katy Perry have a movie? Biggie had one. The Clash had one. The Stones, The Sex Pistols, Bowie, Zeppelin, Dylan, and many more have all had “concert movies.” These have been coming out since the 60s, they’re hardly a new thing. And why shouldn’t Katy have one? Because your personal taste doesn’t include Teenage Dream? Sounds like “bullshit” to me.
Yeah pretty much.
