I’m not sure how many of you follow the Scripps National Spelling Bee when it’s on television but if you don’t, you should.   Nothing is more “human” or “real” than watching a bunch of kids sweat it out trying to spell the hardest to spell words on the planet.   The reactions you see on these kids faces truly reminds you what being vulnerable and human really is.

But every once in a while you’ll get a kid who becomes well, “just a kid.”  He or she will inevitably just say “pffff” and think “screw it.”  Which is exactly what this little girl did when she spelled her word wrong.  I can honestly say this is one of if not the best defeats ever witnessed at a spelling bee.
