Instead of movies like Blazing Saddles or Caddyshack, we are given over-budget, under-written piles of video that are 1 weekend away from being direct to DVD. I guess I was fortunate to grow up in the 80′s or maybe unfortunate but it just seems like comedy doesn’t count now unless it’s badly scripted bite-sized bits of college humor.

Yet, that’s not exactly the problem either.. I will give you the perfect example.. Watch the original Bachelor Party with Tom Hanks and then watch Bachelor Party 2: The Last Temptation

Pretentious excuses for shoehorning blatant exploitation into films will wear thin after a while and you will find liberation in cinema that makes no apologies for giving you exactly what you really wanted all along. There is great psychological freedom in senseless sex, violence, and profanity. This you will learn in time, padawan.
