If you’re a die-hard Marvel movie fan who actually does things like “buy DVDs” in this day and age, you probably already know about the Marvel One-Shot series. Well, I didn’t, and I bet a lot of others haven’t heard of it either.

Apparently on each of the DVDs for Thor, Captain America and the upcoming Avengers, there’s a one-shot short film starring Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg). The one above is “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor’s Hammer,” and the other, “The Consultant,” I can’t seem to find online. Haters gonna hate, I guess.

Anyway, I thought they were hilarious. I enjoy the difference in perspective. When he’s surrounded by super-heroes, he’s just a dude, but when he’s faced with regular dudes, he’s a hero.

Plus, who hasn’t faced that dilemma of chocolate vs powdered?

Coulson is/was a great character; too bad Whedon can’t shake some of his less inspired cliches…
