Putting Smiles on Faces

Here’s a rather rare shot of Health Ledger on the set of The Dark Knight in full make-up, but out of costume. Do they have to cut him out of his shirt so he doesn’t screw up his make-up by taking it off?

This is however only the second best behind-the-scenes Dark Knight shot I’ve seen, with the first of course being the infamous “Dark Kickflip,” whose authenticity has been debated around the internet for years. Heath Ledger was known to skateboard in costume around the set, that’s all I’m saying.

That ‘Dark Kickflip’ is very obviously a photoshop, I really doubt there has been any debate over it’s authenticity.

I don’t think that kick-flip is photoshoped like people say….I mean there is actual video of Heath Ledger skateboarding on set in full make up and costume.

I dunno, I could be wrong but as a former boarder I just don’t see how a picture like that could be fake. Thats me though, I really wish Bale would come out and say if it were real or not.

    You are both right.
There are legitimate photo’s of Heath as the Joker on a skateboard, (there was also a video taken by a news crew in Chicago of Heath/Joker filming a scene on a skateboard, it used to be at Youtube) but Nolan decided not to use them saying that he thought the fans would think the Joker on a skateboard was dumb.
Nolan said this in an interview.
The popular pic of Heath/Joker skateboarding over Batman and the one of him at a skateboard park are both photoshopped.
