Episodes I-VI in Minimalist Form

Published by at 11:00 am under Images,Movies

Artist Travis English has taken all six Star Wars movies, for better or worse, and turned them into arather cool series of minimalist posters. I particularly like how they all seem to flow together in terms of landscape, though the second trilogy works better than the first in that regard. But what else is new?

Check out each of the individual posters larger below. You can buy them here for as long as George Lucas doesn’t find out and sue him.

I just posted this on Nattyb’s “minimalist superhero” post, but why does this site obsess so much when someone does a minimalist drawing? At least every other gallery you post is minimalism something-or-another, and it’s getting really annoying. I like minimalism as much as the next guy, but it’s difficult to maintain interest when you are raining it down on us constantly.

Not really minimalist anyway. This is silhouette art with great color choices. I’d almost call it monochrome silhouette style. Beautiful, nonetheless.
