Go here to see the diary of a Skyrim widow.

There’s a certain toll that Skyrim can take on a relationship, as the game can consume hours of someone’s life without them even realizing it. But you know who does see it? The other person. This is their story.

The Magic of Head and Shoulders

Published by under Images,Movies

Are you an undead ghoul sent to hunt the souls of the living through the magic of a VHS tape? Maybe so, but that doesn’t mean your HAIR has to look undead!

Thanks to Head and Shoulders new “cursed” formula, it will restore your hair to its original glory, so that the first thing people will say when you crawl out of their TV will be “wow!”

Assassinating a Dragon

Published by under Video Games,Videos

I currently have two Skyrim characters, a warrior clad in Daedric armor and a mage who is just beginning to understand the concept of a fireball. Needless to say, neither focuses on stealth, and as I won’t have it in me to beat the game a third time, I’ll have to be content watching my roommate play his sneaky Wood Elf.

But at high levels? It seems like a pretty wicked cool class, especially when you watch this video where someone has a high enough sneak skill to literally ASSASSINATE A DRAGON. I do not think there is a more cool phrase in existence. Check it out above, and stay tuned for another Skyrim journal some time this week.

The Ultimate Bored in Class Project

Published by under Images,Video Games

Ever get so bored in class or at work that you spend hours perfectly recreating a scene from Pokemon in Excel? I haven’t yet, but this guy has, and as you can see, has rendered a Pokebattle perfectly with Excel itself as the victim. Or is it Xcel? I haven’t used that thing since college.

I always wondered how people did Pixel are like this. Is there some sort of website that has all of these old school games laid out on a grid or something that allows you to make them out of beads or knit them or create them in spreadsheets?

Dexter Review: “Get Gellar”

Published by under Reviews,Television

With only a third of the season left to go, Dexter needed to start making big moves and big reveals rather quickly. This week had both, and I’ll save all the spoilers for after the jump, in case you haven’t seen the episode yet and don’t want to reveal any collossal plot twists.

Gearbox Needs a Real Life Lilith for Borderlands 2

Published by under News,Video Games

Are you a hot girl that’s been cosplaying for years just for the hell of it? Well you’re in luck, now you might actually get paid to do it! Gearbox, makers of Borderlands, is looking for a real life Lilith to be featured in the second game. How the hell is that going to work? Well, remember how the “Guardian Angel” was sort of a real person? Turns out as a Siren Lilith can communicate the same way.

The details of what you need to qualify are below. Pretty much it’s “look like Lilith.”

The Best Skyrim Action Shots So Far

Published by under Images,Video Games

“Destroy Everything You Touch.”

From our new friends at Dead End Thrills comes another series of Skyrim shots that even top their last gallery. The scenery is nice, yes, but that doesn’t mean the action in the game isn’t pulse-pounding, and it makes for incredible screenshots if you capture just the right moment.

These shots focus less on the environment and more on the characters. I’m still trying to figure out how he got his character that bonkers hairstyle.

Since none of our games will ever look this good, enjoy the virtual photography of these gorgeous pieces. I can’t wait to see what else Dead End keeps turning out. Click on any of them to enlarge.

That Guy Actor of the Week: Robert Costanzo

Published by under Columns

I’ve always loved Robert Costanzo.  He’s your typical blue collar part guy.   When you need a dude with a thick New York accent who can play a plumber?  Robert Costanzo is your man.   I mean let’s look at Robert.  He was born in Brooklyn and his dad’s name was Carmine.  Come on folks!  If you need stereotype then look no further.

I remember seeing him in the movie City Slickers where he had a bit part of a guy who shows up to show and tell and talks all tough.  I loved it when he said “don’t do drugs.”

Anyway, Costanzo has 249 titles to his name.  Yes, 249.   Dude’s been around.  Now you can see him on TV most of the time but he’s still that type casted Brooklynite, and I love it.

Here’s a clip of Costanzo…..

Six Movies That Could Depict the Future in a Realistic Way

Published by under Movies

The amount of movies that portray what our existence will be years from now is practically endless.  From space westerns to apocalypse scenarios, the depiction of our future is so varied that a realistic sense of it rarely surfaces.

I mean it’s not like we’re in the Star Trek Enterprise yet, and we’re certainly not a society that contains only desert waste lands.   Truth is, the future 20 years or even 50 years from now will aesthetically look very similar to what our world looks like today.  It’s just that movies never portray that.

However, here are five movies that I think portray the future in a very real way….
