Memorable Moments in Movies: The Poop Scene in Billy Madison

This latest Adam Sandler movie has got me almost vomiting.   I’m not even kidding.  What the hell is Jack and Jill?  Is it Little Nicky again?  I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.  Comedy left Adam Sandler after the movie Big Daddy.  I defy you to identify a funny movie with Sandler that came after Big Daddy.   It’s impossible.

Granted I think Sandler has actually turned into a very respectable serious actor, the days of Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore are long gone.   It happens I guess.  Disappointing as all hell, but it happens.

Which is why I wanted to share this clip.  To me this is the essence of funny Adam Sandler, including his SNL days.

Funny people was decent, though not because of Sandler.

I was gonna say the same thing about Funny People.

I think I’m one of, like, 10 people who enjoyed Little Nicky. If you know what you’re getting into, and don’t take it too seriously, it’s a damn funny movie and I’ll defend it every time.

But yeah, you’re right. Sandler stopped being funny and/or entertaining a long long time ago. He sucks.

I never thought Adam Sandler was funny. When I was 11-12 years old back in 95-96′ when everyone my age thought he was hilarious, I simply never got it. I watched Madison and Gilmore about 10 times, trying to see if there was something I was missing. Looking back on it now, I realize there was nothing there. Though I kinda knew that already.

Just like M. Night Shama-lama-dingdong, I always love when the rest of the world finally catches up to me and realizes what a hack most “artists” are. Though granted, the Paris Hiltons and Kim Kardashians (or any reality stars) are a given. I’ve always said that anything popular has a shelf life of 3-5 years. Music, movies, clothing styles, actors, comedians, and so on.

Anyway, I think South Park summed it up perfectly. “Whatever, you’ll pay to go see it, fuck you!!”

Mr. Deeds was after Big Daddy.

On a more important note Billy is my favorite all time comedy movie.

  • Name, indeed!

To this day, I occasionally call my wife “Devil Woman!” based on that scene.

    I also enjoyed Little Nicky.

    “Popeye’s chicken is the shiznick!”

but yeah quality has been down.
I did enjoy 50 first date though. Punch Drunk was also a good one that showcase his non-comedic skills. Maybe he should stick to the plot that Eric Cartman gave at Awesome-o.
