The Best Christian Game Ever: The Zoo Race

Published by at 2:00 pm under Video Games,Videos

I have no problem with Christians making video games. That’s totally cool, and they’re within their rights to do so, but they can’t expect us to not  make fun of them when they’re absolutely terrible. I would make fun of ANY awful game whether it was made by a Christian, Jew, Muslim, Atheist or Scientologist, and it’s just not possible to not laugh at “The Zoo Race.”

How this game aims to teach moral lessons, I’m not sure. You can pick an animal, and then you set off racing against other animals so that if you win, you can have a dance party with God while fireworks shoot off everywhere. I am not joking.

Through a rather hilarious Let’s Play video, you can see the game in action. The bonus best parts are the constant insane soundtrack, and the slow motion voice of God.

just because it is themed after Christians, doesn’t necessarily mean it was made by them. Ever think maybe it’s meant to mock it instead of promote it?

As a christian I am offended. Not by this post but by the fact that game exists.

    I mean yikes.

I think it’s pretty safe to assume that it was payed for by some christian organisation. Whether or not they chose the right videogame developer and were happy with what they got, that’s a different story.

When you pass over into the risky subjects of religion or race, like you stated, you’ve got to be an equal-opportunity offender. Otherwise, it’s probably best to stay away from the subject. That’s a, for lack of a better word, unique line to cross. However it works out, there’s going to be some hard feelings on someone’s end.

Also, I’m quite interested to now see some games crafted for the other religions you stated. I didn’t know these types of games existed.
