I briefly thought about attempting to be Mass Effect’s Commander Shepard for Halloween this year, before I decided on Nathan Drake who wouldn’t require me to craft an entire set of power armor from scratch.

But if I did head down that path, I at least know where I could have found my weaponry. As it turns out, a Nerf gun with a bit of a paint job can sub in for a Mass Effect weapon just fine.
