A Collection of Awesome Masked Characters in Movies

Published by at 8:00 am under Images,Movies

I don’t know, is Halloween already starting to get into my brain?  For no particular reason there was a reminder in my calendar today to buy a perfect replica outfit of a Kobra Kai student from Karate Kid.  Little did I realize that it cost $140 and there’s just no way I’m spending that much on anything let alone a costume when I barely go out for Halloween anymore.

Anyway, given that reminder I thought about costume stuff and masks came to mind.  Figured I’d come up with a cool gallery of characters in movies that wear masks.

The list is far from complete but this is a solid start…..

Darth Vader

Batman

V for Vendetta

Donnie Darko

Scream

Lone Ranger

Scorpion

Zorro

Michael Myers

Jason

Predator

Spawn

Leatherface

Man in the Iron Mask

Franklyn

Phantom of the Opera

Spiderman

*I’m sure there are a gazillion more but these are a good start.  Suggestions welcome in the comments.

V for Vendetta is the name of the movie, not the character. V
Donnie Darko is the name of the movie, not the character. Frank
There are more errors in the same manner but I only really care about those two.

Lol, what about a movie called The Mask with Jim Carrey.

    Dread Pirate Roberts

  • D.C.

I agree with Sams. Overlooking Rorschach was bad form … especially considering a slot was reserved for the Lone Ranger. Really?

The Man in Black from The Princess Bride

  • Jim

    I like the list and I also agree that it’s just a start. To go along with the aforementioned Rorschach, Dread Pirate Roberts, and The Mask;

Cyclops (If you’re gonna give one to the Lone Ranger I think he counts)
    The Shadow
    The Phantom
The Phantasm (From Batman Mask of the Phantasm)
    Boba Fett

Plus I think it’s funny cause Paul did like this same thing 2 years ago.

More of a hand painted mask, but I’ll say The Ultimate Warrior.

    death race – frankensteins mask.

  • Jonas

The Black Bandit from “The Fall”

  • Joe

    Spiderman?
Doesn’t that mean, therefore, that every masked vigilante must be included?
And why, of all of them, Spiderman?
Everything else is spot on, though.

  • Huh

Zorro? Really? Were you on a deadline?

  • Hobbs

The Clive Barker film NIGHTBREED has that awesome villain with the weird stitched mask. In fact I think the nickname might have been stitchface.
