So How About That Emmy Winners List?
So my mom just called me with the news that a virus has taken over her home computer, so I’m running off to do battle with that and lord knows when I’ll be back.
In the mean time, feel free to talk amongst yourselves about last night’s Emmy winners and who deserved it (above, way to go Dinklage) and who got shafted (Steve Carell will now never win one for Michael Scott).

Congrats to Peter Dinklage.
As a fan of most things that appear on this website, I want to point out that something most people would probably skip, Downton Abbey, was actually very good. The story, characters, and time period (class system, dying aristocracy, run up to 1st world war) are all pretty interesting. Just throwing that out there.
Most of these actually look like proper choices. But somehow, you can still win an Emmy simply by being thin, talking in a high voice, and moving in a jerky fashion.
There are so many comedies better than The Big Bang Theory. Yet they take spots that could be far more appropriately filled by Community. You can’t have two lead actors in one show, dammit!
And I like Modern Family, but THREE supporting actor nominations? And Danny Pudi and Donald Glover get zip.
Why does he look so melancholy?
I’ve only ever heard great things about Mad Men, but I’m starting to think there should be a cap on consecutive wins. Seeing the major award go to the same show four years in a row is not helping the Emmy’s in their efforts to expand their audience. I understand why GoT did not win, but I thought Boardwalk Empire would take Mad Men down.
Jim Parsons winning again for his Chuck Lorre, laugh-tracked, piece of garbage was too much for me to take. I would have loved to see Louis C.K. win, but as many others have said, it just feels wrong that Michael Scott never earned Steve Carell an Emmy.
I think Kyle Chandler deserved the lead actor win, but it’s a bit sad to realize that Hugh Laurie will never get one for House. Odds are this season won’t revive the show and he’ll have Bryan Cranston to compete with.
I LOVE Sheldon Cooper but I am really sad Steve Carell never got an Emmy for Michael Scott.

Damn, now I really have to see Modern Family (not aired yet in my country)
