The Mostly Immortal Cast of Home Improvement

It’s been a long time since sitcoms were funny (don’t get me started on How I Met Your Mother), but when they were, Home Improvement was one of my absolute favorites back in the day.

I’m not precisely sure when this picture was taken, but I think it’s fairly recent, and shows that even after all these years, the cast is still looking pretty damn good.  The women look exactly the same (I’m pretty sure Heidi is an immortal nymph or something) and it’s good to see that Jonathan Taylor Thomas is still alive. That kid pulled a Dave Chappelle before even Dave Chappelle did, and I never quite understood why he went from teen hearthrob to completely off the grid almost instantly.

The other two sons are looking a bit haggard, but I remember seeing Zachary Ty Bryan on Burn Notice a season or two ago, and he was also awesome in The Fast and the Furious Tokyo Drift. You may think Tim Allen’s star has faded, but between Home Improvement syndication and his Toy Story 3 check, he was one of the highest paid actors of last year. Seriously.

Is Al trying out his Wilson impression? The last thing I saw Jonathan Taylor Thomas, JTT if you were a fan of teen beat, in was an episode of Veronica Mars a few years back.

This picture just brought a stream of memories back for me. I used to love that show, and I still watch it whenever I see it on at something like 11 PM on weekdays.

the youngest kid looks an awful lot like MAtthew from the New Adventures of Old Christine

Heidi is still super hot. I loved that show. It had so many Michigan references. Michigan represent!

Also, Tim Allen does those Pure Michigan commercials, so I’m sure he gets paid for that too
