When Art Meets Cartoons

Published by at 10:00 am under Images,Television

So I can’t find the original ‘shopper of these because an image search only turns up the original paintings. Goddamnit Google, can’t you tell when He-Man has been inserted into a picture or not? Slackers.

In any case, some intrepid soul decided to spruce up a number of classic paintings using modern day cartoon characters to add a bit of flavor. The result is pretty cool, and makes for a fun gallery which you can see below.

I guess Jessica Rabbit was so nice, they had to use her twice. I’m surprised they didn’t end up subbing her in for the Mona Lisa too. Lord knows that chick needs a makeover.

Are you familiar with Tineye.com (also a browser extension)
it finds the same image elsewhere on the web, in this case the originals look to be from a contest at http://www.worth1000.com/contests/14079/contest

Poor phrasing. Cartoons are a form of art.
