Father and Daughter Relax at the Beach
I’ve seen probably hundreds of “behind the scenes” Star Wars photos in recent months, and all of them have been pretty excellent. I have not however, seen this picture until just now, which seems odd as it’s probably one of the best out of all them.
So is it fake? Or have I just been missing it this entire time? I’m trying to think of a time where Darth Vader actually needed to shoot in the sands of Tatooine in the third film, but I don’t think that ever happened. Maybe they just happened to have his costume lying around?
Anyway, this would absolutely make a great poster, that’s for sure.

It’s from an issue of Rolling Stone that came out at the time of Return of the Jedi.
When you blow it up it looks like a cut and paste job. And the background looks more Hoth than Tatooine.

Studio photo shoot.
I’m glad they decided to get rid of the insanely large cape for that costume when it came time to film the movie.
It makes a lot of sense. Nice photo.
