A Gallery of Celebrity Renaissance Portraits

Published by at 11:00 am under Images,Movies

I can’t seem to find out if this is the work of one talented artist or a few, but the concept is a solid one. What would today’s celebrities look like had they been born in centuries past?

Thankfully, with enough talented digital wizardry we’re able to find out. I think Sir Hugh Laurie is my favorite above, but it’s surprising how well a lot of these people fit with an old school alter ego.

Check out the full selection below with Jolie, Pitt, Bono, Jackson and even Arnold gets into time traveling.

Looking at http://www.worth1000.com/ either a search on renaissance or celebrity time travel brings up several of this gallery sporadically as well as several that look like they would fit. It would take a few hours to get each of the image’s sources, and even longer to find the ones without watermarks.

Could you please put the names under the pictures? I noticed this seems to be a trend here. Look guys I get that you are more of an experts when it comes to celebs and stuff but a lot of people can’t tell them at just a picutre. So please put names. It’s not that hard

First of all, I must say that this Gallery system sucks, I always lose my patiences and I give up going through it. It makes me wanna leave your site, and that sort of defeats your purpose.

Secondly, MAN! those portraits are not “Renaissance”, at least not all of them. It’s quite ridiculous that you would even choose one that clearly has clothing from a later period!
