Behold, cs_abbottabad Lives

Remember the other day when I postulated that Osama Bin Laden’s demise would work its way into a video game?
Well that didn’t take long.
Behold, cs_abbottabad, or technically fy_abbottabad, but I don’t know enough about Counterstrike to know the difference. You don’t actually kill Bin Laden per se, but it is a multiplayer map designed using the specifications of the compound in which he was hiding.
It’s an ambitious project to be sure, and probably not the most balanced map in the world, but damn, kind of cool I have to say. Check out more pictures of the map in action below.

That is why CS is still one of the coolest games out there. They have an awesome commuity that does innovative things like that.
Without charging their users $5 for the map?
CS rocks, I’ve practically grown up playing it, but there’s too much douchebaggery involved. Also the new versions – anything past 1.5 is just bad in my eyes (I realize it’s not, but I’m just so accustomed to the good ol’ pre-1.6 days)
FY means fight yard or deathmatch. He is working on a demolition match which will probably be better since DE is more cs’s game.

Not the most balanced map? I’ll say. There’s this one spot where you could hide for YEARS if you’re a camper.
Didn’t think something like that would come out so quickly.
