GIF of the Week: Indy’s Having Problems
There’s a small part of me that’s disappointed in this clip. I’d like to think that they used a kick ass fedora hat for Indy. Hell maybe the hat that Harrison Ford is completely butchering with a stapler was once a nice one. I’d even suffice to say that Ford was so attached to the damn thing that it was like his baby blanket and he’d do anything to save it.
However, the reality is that this is a movie shoot and most wardrobe doesn’t consist of the highest priced goods. They’re just supposed to appear that way.
I do like that PA in the background though….

In the newest Indiana movie, they actually had it custom made by one of the top hand-made fedora designers in the country. I’m guessing they did something similar for the Last Crusade, so don’t be disappointed!

Yes. Because Harrison Ford would really actually staple a hat to his head.

“The fedora was supplied by Herbert Johnson Hatters in England for the first three films. It was referred to as “The Australian Model” by costume designer Deborah Nadoolman Landis and was fitted with a Petersham bow.[45] Indy’s fedora for Crystal Skull was made by Steve Delk and Marc Kitter of the Adventurebilt Hat Company.”
They also indicate that the clip shown above was a joke. There are no staples in the stapler.
this is just temporary. when he gets home, he has hundreds more hats in his wardrobe!
interesting fact:
the reason Harrison Ford is stapling the hat to his head is…BECASE THE DARN THING KEPT FLYING OFF!! On sence the every take just about the thing kept flying off. and everytime it did they had to stop and reshoot costing them money so in a joke harrison ford stapled the thing to his head so they could do the sence
