I See Your Harry Potter Proposal, and Raise You a Pokeball
So we all had a good laugh last week at the guy who defaced a Harry Potter book to propose to his lady. As expected, most of the ladies found it sweet, and the majority of the guys wanted to give him a wedgie.
Well today we’re plowing forward into an even deeper level of nerd hell: The Pokeball Proposal. My love of Pokemon is well documented on this site, but this is even a bit extreme for me. I get how cute it is that the line “I Choose You” is fitting, but the ring(s) inside the Pokeball aspect? You better be DAMN sure this girl wants to marry you, is all I have to say. And chances are she should probably have some sort of Pokemon tattoo on her body which fully proves her commitment to the series. Like the Charmeleon I have etched in my inner hip.
Alright, alright you caught me. Here’s what it looked like when I tried this exact type of proposal on my girlfriend. I did not go well.

I think this is extremely clever and adorable. I used to be really into pokemon back in the day and I would’ve loved this.
