Vietnamese Pokemon Crystal is Damn Good Time
What happens when the store near you no longer carries your favorite Pokemon title? Why, order it off eBay of course.
Well, what the seller might not tell you is that you’re getting a foreign version of the game, translated from Vietnamese and back again. Problem? No, not really, in fact, it makes the game far more awesome.
These guys got such a version of the game, and have played it through with pretty funny results due to the mistranslation. The beginning of their saga is above, and more follows below if you’re interested. Why yes, there are 26 parts and counting… What, like you were going to work today?

Volcano Bakemeat would be an excellent band name.
I’ve never liked pokemon, until now. Well, that is if Smash Bros. doesn’t count.
Hilarious. These guys sound like fun to hang out with!
Or should I say, “Mans like friends do active together share elf good times!” (Yeah, not quite the same as the Vietnamese translation)
I played a translated pokemon ruby once upon a time that when accessing a gigantic computer screen in a building would display the message “If broken, you’re pretty much f**ked” didnt find out until I borrowed it to my nephew… whoops.
