Awesome Cabinet for a Gaming Geek

Published by at 10:00 am under Images

We here at Unreality appreciate the world of gaming.   Paul is an avid gamer and I myself and am avid misser of video games from the past.  So whether it’s something old school or more recent I think both of us can appreciate a good gaming set up.

And as you can see from the picture above something wonderful is about to be created.   Believe me, the pics below are most certainly worth a peek…..

Thanks to Flickr User Krisseattle22 for these.  Wait until you see the evolution here.  Amazing stuff.

The construction looks pretty darn straightforward. My favorite feature isn’t the controller pegs on the side, but rather how each system is on a set of risers to keep the consoles up off of the actual shelves. I can see how that would help keep the systems more free of dust and help them run cooler.

Keeping your setup neat is a tough thing to do, but this makes excellent use of vertical space to do so.

    Me likey.

Somebody tell Ikea to build a low quality version of this that has missing screws and leans slightly to the left.
    Then I will buy.

Nice setup! But how is he going to acces the back of the tv, to switch cables to use another console? Or do tvs nowadays have 5 console ports?

@Matthijs most tv’s come with numerous ports, but even if they didnt you can get a switch back that has one output and numerous inputs and it uses either a remote or a switch to change from one input to another. people with older tvs and allot of older consoles use this method. i prefer to play older consoles on older tvs. and have used a setup like i mentioned before.

This is so awesome. I don’t like the risers though. I’m sure with fans installed under the shelf it would make it better. Looks to bad with the risers. Check out my custom made wii sensor bar on youtube.
