I’m always happy to show well made commercials on the site here free of charge for advertisers, but that’s something that happens extremely rarely as most ads today are kinds of…shit.

Thankfully that’s not the case with this spot for Volkswagen, which features a young Darth Vader attempting to use the force in an incredibly adorable way. I’m pretty stunned this is a real commercial for them, as I thought Darth Vader selling anything (Pepsi, Happy Meals, etc.) had to make cash go directly into Lucas’ pocket promoting his movies or TV series. I was expecting to see some sort of plug at the end, but nope. They even used the Imperial March!

What’s going on Lucas? Did they show you this commercial and it flashed you back to the reason you made these movies in the first place and you were too overcome with emotion to remember to get your lawyers on the phone? Whatever the case, I’m glad this got made. Check it out above.
