Who Won All Them Golden Globes?
I’ll be damned if I watched them, or even looked up who won until now, but some of you may care who ended up winning the Golden Globes last night, and if you don’t at least you can watch Ricky Gervais’ hilarious, devastating opening monologue from the show. I hear he was so ridiculous, they banned him for the second half of the ceremony.
Check out the full winner’s list below

Inception deserves every golden globe Social Network got.
@Drester, you speak for all of us.
I don’t know who won anything, but I’ve seen some of the stuff Gervais came out with.
Hopefully this will prevent that pretentious dick from ever finding work in a major Hollywood picture again.
Then maybe he can crawl back to Britain and attempt to wow the British public with his ‘comedy’.
One of the worst comedians of all time. I’d say waterboarding in Guantanamo Bay would be preferable to watching this idiot doing stand up.
LOL.. so a comedian making fun of an event where it’s just celebs patting themselves on the back for a “job well done” makes him a pretentious dick?
Totally agree with Drester, although I think The Social Network was an incredible movie.
@thegreatfatsby
You need to lighten up dude. Also, your comment is a little personal, isn’t it? Why wouldn’t you want him to get a job?
@thegreatfatsby
Although I agree his hollywood movies are not good, it’s not what he does best. His TV shows and standup are very good. And i think you should take that dick out of your butt before writing comments.
I gotta say, I totally dig Ricky Gervais. I think it’s refreshing to see a host who doesn’t just stand up there metaphorically fellating the entire industry, ie. everyone in the room. And is it not true that Charlie Sheen is a hot mess, The Tourist was a travesty, Hugh Hefner is a lech, and Mel Gibson is an anti-semite? Besides, Robert De Niro cracking up at Gervais pretending to give Hefner a handjob? Priceless.
Well, he might not be the funniest comedian in the world, but they pretty much had it coming. It wouldn’t be so easy to make cheap jokes at their expense if they hadn’t made fools of themselves in the first place (and it could be argued that the likes of Charlie Sheen and Mel Gibson have gone well beyond ‘fool’ and into the realms of ‘dangerous’). So, I agree with Sara – if Gervais was making it up, there’d be more of a case against him. But he wasn’t.
I find Gervais to be a bit middle of the road; he’s not phenomenal, nor is he all that bad.
This is why I’ve always found it odd that he happens to be so polarizing to the general (internet) public. On one end, he’s either too offensive or highly pretentious; on the other, his fanboys lap up everything he says.
Again, Gervais was decent as a host.
I did quite enjoy the shot of Baldwin and Lemon—I mean Fey.
Inception, although a great film is overrated (I wouldn’t even rank Inception in the top 5 of this year’s movies). King’s Speech or Black Swan should have gotten best picture over Inception and over Social Network. Best director should have gone to Aronofsky because of how well he did on his tight budget or to Nolan for his control of budget. If you thought Inception was one of the best movies of this year then you’re probably the type that loves things that go boom just cause they go boom. Avatar was meh too…Pocahontas in space. You guys probably drooled over that too huh?
@JR: I really hated Avatar, and loved Inception. I haven’t seen Black Swan and King’s speech yet, they will appear in theaters in february. I know, it sucks
Nolan gets snubbed again. Huh Didnt see that coming…
well it will allways be special to me haha
And @ JR easy there champ. Coming off as kind of doushey.
“you guys probably drooled over that too?”
Although I agree on how great of a movie Black Swan was with its modest budget.
I liked Gervais but It felt a bit uncomfortable when you heard the nervous laughter from the crowd especially after the scientology joke. Although I definitly lol’ed at 2:18.
