Starcraft Hallucinations Doing Terrible, Terrible Damage
If there’s one game that I’m legitimately becoming an uber-nerd about, it’s Starcraft 2, and most people like me will get the humor of this immediately, but I suppose I should explain it to the rest of you, as it’s really quite funny.
What’s happening here is that forty minutes into a game, a player has just caused his opponent to quit using a largely fake army. The Protoss unit, the Sentry can create “hallucinations” or a fake version of a unit that looks real to your enemies, but does no damage. Here, he’s hallucinated seven Colossi, one of the best units in the game, and the implication that they’re real causes his opponent to just say “f*ck it, I’m out.”
Yeah, jokes are funnier when you don’t have to explain them.

I wish more pro-level gamers would use this skill like this. It’s mostly used for scouting, though
Yeah, but pro gamers are smart enough to know what their opponents doing and that they couldn’t possibly have 7 Colossi out that fast on half a base.
It wouldn’t have to be used in an obvious manner. Diversion tactics ftw.
It’s so great. And since it’s forty mins in it could totally be a real army. I bet he did it right after a big fight where both sides lost a lot. Then he just shows up and the other guy’s spirit is crushed beneath the huge, pointy, fake feet. Epic.
