It is a tough one for me since I had an N64 and a PS1 along with an NES when growing up but I did have more fun playing Duke Nukem and Turok 2 and Zelda on the N64 so the N64 is my answer! Even though each system has its best title exclusives and campibilities they are all great in their own right

Consoles I’ve had since I was about 6 or 7: Atari, Colecovision, NES, SNES, N64, PS1, GameCube, PS2, Wii, PS3. If you add handhelds: GameBoy, GameGear, GBPocket, GBAdvance, DS.

As you can see I’ve largely favored Nintendo and Sony, and I’ve never been inclined to have anything from Sega or Microsoft (other than PC stuff).

So for me my absolute favorite system based off the games and childhood memories is without a doubt the SNES.

If I had to make a top 5 it would look like this:

1. SNES
2. PS1
3. N64 or NES (tie)
4. PS2
5. PS3

However, being 31 now. My main go-to for nearly all of my gaming needs is my PC.

I would have to say that the best console/portable system has to be the Sega Game Gear. Given that it came out around the same time as the original Gameboy, as far as technology is concerned it was lightyears ahead of its time. The Game Gear was the first portable system with true color graphics, the first to have such accessories as a tv tuner adapter, and a much longer list of first than I can really recall off the top of my head. As such, the Sega Game Gear truly is the best system.

I will say the Dreamcast b/c of the VMU inside of the controllers, we could see ur stats, ur player energy plus ESPN(2K5) football is the best sport game ever

Without a doubt it has to be The SNES, it was the only consel that could make all of us children sit down together and ply and the memories of Mario Kart, Mortal Kombat 2 and Super Street fighter and Donkey Kong2 will last me the rest of my life.

For me it had to be the SNES.

Sure Atari kicked ass when I was a kid (came out when i was 4) but I was far too young really enjoy it. NES had alot of cool games, like a boy and his blob, teenage mutant ninja turtles, etc. But SNES by far had some of the most kickass games and was host to some of my still favourite games like, Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past, Earthbound(AKA Mother 2) Some of the best Final Fantasy games, Earthworm Jim, Rock And Roll Racing(still one of the best racing games in my opinion!) and the list goes on and on!

Don’t get me wrong, I love all the systems after that as well as all the new gen systems… but non has every had so many amazing games as the SNES and SNES didn’t need all kinds of crazy add ons to make the system awesome, it just was. Now don’t get me wrong, when it comes to PS3 and Xbox 360, I have by far put more hours into those systems than any other (all though, maybe not, didn’t have to work or have children during the days of SNES)

Anyways, that was my rant for all to see! SNES Rules!

Since in 21, im in the slightly “older generation”. N64 sega master system where some of the best gaming expericnes i had, as well as the original ps1. Alot of the new games now IMO arent as fun, they have great graphics, but not a good storyline, Another good thing about older games is you get attached to characters. some people get sad when their favourite ones die etc.

I know what you meant, and I acknowledged that the controller had been re-sized since the original and it’s better than I remember.

And yes, I talk a lot… Especially when it comes to topics that interest me, so if it’s alright I’ll continue to do so. Have a good one.

Gran Turismo 5 is just a couple of days away!!! I think now is the time for me to get an HDTV…

i had every console of the past 30 years and play just about every games.

Play Station 1
Coleco Vision
Dreamcast

those are the 3 console that took the biggest part of my life away.
