Now That’s a Tramp Stamp

Published by under Images,Movies

I’ve been informed that sometimes when posting a funny picture I go into too much detail trying to explain it. Sometimes it’s necessary, but this time, I think it’s a pretty hilarious visual pun by itself. Granted, not a visual pun I would want tattooed on my body forever, but good for a laugh nonetheless for someone more committed to cracking up strangers than me.

Gerard Butler Rallies Michigan State Spartans

Published by under Movies,Videos

Alright, so I’m betraying my alma mater by posting this, but even as a Michigan Wolverine fan, I have to say this is supremely awesome.

300′s Gerard Butler recently stopped by Michigan State’s Midnight Madness as he was in East Lansing for reasons I can’t explain, though I’m assuming he’s got a movie filming nearby. For those of you who don’t know, MSU’s team is the Spartans, so it was an exceptionally appropriate guest appearance, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a college sports crowd go this wild when there’s not a game being played.

He naturally recites one of 300′s trademark lines, and rivalry aside, bra-vo for whoever set this up. I heard he was doing similar Spartan cries at the bars later, so if anyone has videos of that, please pass them along.

Death Star Pumpkin Blows All Other Pumpkins Away, Literally

Published by under Images,Movies

We have a winner.

This is by far the best amateur carved pumpkin I’ve seen this Halloween season, (yes, there are professionals). We’ve seen Death Star pumpkins before, but Death Star pumpkins destroying Alderaan pumpkins? Never, and I applaud the creator of this for their efforts.

How exactly the Alderaan pumpkin was crafted I’m not sure, as it looks like an action shot, which I suppose is the desired effect. Did they just bash out the side and glue all the pieces back in that formation? Oh, and the laser point is a nice touch.

If you’ve seen something that tops this let me know, but with a few days to go, I’m going to bet on this being the best I see this year.

A Giant Gallery of Fantastic Starcraft Fan Art from Blizzard

Published by under Images,Video Games

Why yes that IS Diablo fighting Zeratul. I told you this gallery was fantastic.

Most of you know that we tend to feature particularly awesome media related art on the site when we find it, and man, I just stumbled across a treasure trove. The Official Blizzard Fanart page is full of amazing renderings from all of their games, so many I had to only pick out my favorites focusing on one game, Starcraft.

Seriously, there is not a single one of these that ISN’T awesome, and I’d practically give each its own post if I had found these all separately. Check them out below:

Debate of the Day: If Not the Riddler, Then Who?

Published by under Debate,Movies

Yesterday brought two very important announcements concerning Batman 3, and one of those very news items was that we can stop calling it Batman 3 and start calling it The Dark Knight Rises. But mainly, the other bit of info, where Chris Nolan explicitly states the Riddler is NOT the villain in the film is the more interesting bit.

This is kind of a surprise and a bit of a disappointment to me and others, as I for one thought that even if the Riddler was the “expected” choice, that Nolan’s signature, twisting, turning, plotline intersecting storytelling style would have suited a Riddler story quite well, and many of the other villains Batman encounters aren’t really based in the kind of plausible reality that Nolan has set up. He’s said no to Mr. Freeze, but the Penguin would have to be drastically revamped, and other than die hard fans, few people know who characters like Black Mask and Mobius are. The film is shooting in New Orleans at least for a scene or two, so some have speculated Killer Croc is in the mix, but again, not sure how that fits into a Nolan universe.

The other clue is Tom Hardy, who we’re all assuming will be playing the (a) villain. Yes, this might not be the case, but I think it’s a pretty safe bet given the actors’ onscreen persona. But if Heath Ledger can play the Joker, surely Hardy could be transformed into any of these potential villains, so I’m not sure how much his casting helps our speculation.

I’m interested to hear you say what villain you think SHOULD be in the film and which WILL be, and if those two things line up. Let me know in the comments.

10 Halloween Costumes that You Need to See on Video

Published by under Videos

Last year here on Unreality, for some reason or another I was severely slacking in the Halloween posts in the week preceding the holiday. So this year I’m making up for that with a boatlaod of Halloween themed installments, this one included.

Everyone has typical picture galleries of good and bad costumes (including us), but there aren’t any video lists showcasing great costumes in action. I rounded up ten of the best I could find, and some of the videos are truly awesome. My favorites are this transforming Bumblebee costume, and one very enthusiastic Les Grossman impersonator.

Check out all the costumes below:

A Collection of Halloween Costume “Fails”

Published by under Images

The reason  put the word “fails” in quotations is because I don’t really think that these are failures.  I personally believe that some of them are so bad that they’re actually quite awesome.

You be the judge but I swear by my opinion here.  These aren’t fails.  They’re just awesomely bad.

Eight Scary Scenes in Otherwise Non Scary Movies

Published by under Movies

You kind of had to figure we’d be bringing out the scary type articles as Halloween approaches did you not?  I mean hey.  What kind of a site would we be if we didn’t get into the holiday spirit?  And honestly I know other sites have touched upon this subject before but I think it’s always fun to bring it around.

It’s cool when movies that aren’t intended to frighten you, freak you the hell out.  I mean granted I think it’s their intention to mix it up during the film to keep the audience on edge but man, some of these scenes are scarier than horror movies scenes.

Check out eight scary scenes in otherwise non scary movies….
