Tony Hawk Ride is has one of the lowest cost-to-fun ratios of any game I’ve ever played before. I couldn’t beat the damn training level without almost breaking my neck, and it almost ruined Christmas Day as mom and dad realized they had accidentally picked up an expensive game made out of complete shit.

But is there any way to make Tony Hawk Ride fun? If you’re an actual skateboarder, the answer is yes, as demonstrated by this video which using some trucks, wheels and griptape, turns the Ride board into a real board that you can do more than just pretend tricks on. I love the explanation to the cop at the end where they explain they’re not actually illegally skateboarding, they’re playing a video game!
