10 Videos of Actors Doing Impressions of Other Actors
Nattyb once posted a bunch of videos of pretty amazing impressions done by people you wouldn’t recognize. Admittedly, some are really great, but I feel like everyone and their mother does some sort of Christopher Walken impression. Professional actors, though, pretend to be other people for a living, so it shouldn’t be surprising when they’re also very good at doing impressions. And when those impressions are of their fellow actors, it can be uncanny.
I collected 10 videos of what I thought were some of the best impressions of actors by other actors. Of course, there are a couple of Walken impressions stuck in there, but they were just too damn good not to include. For the purposes of these videos, I tried to avoid regulars on Saturday Night Live. Enjoy.
Matt Damon does Matthew McConaughey
Matt Damon is as good at comedy as he is at dramatic acting. I’d like to see him do more, in fact.
Kevin Spacey does Jack Lemmon
Everyone’s seen Spacey’s Walken as Han Solo, so I included this one, which is almost as funny.
Kevin Spacey does Al Pacino, Marlon Brando, Christopher Walken, Jimmy Stuart, Johnny Carson…
…and it’s pretty clear that no one can touch Spacey when it comes to impressions.
Jim Carrey does David Caruso as Horatio Caine
I’ve said it a million times – quit trying for the Oscar and just start talking out of your ass again, Jim.
Kevin Pollak does Christopher Walken
Jay Mohr’s is fine, but Pollak does a better Walken than anyone.
Paul Rudd does Robert DeNiro
I think it’s the face that does it for me. Rogen’s DeNiro is just awful, though. Is he even trying?
Jimmy Fallon does Bill Cosby and Jerry Seinfeld
A lot of people don’t like Fallon, but he’s unbelievable when it comes to impressions. It’s how he got hired by Lorne Michaels, after all.
Eddie Murphy does Richard Pryor (NSFW language)
Yeah, if Eddie Murphy is doing an impression of Richard Pryor, there’s a very high probability that there’s gonna be some cursing.
Harry Connick, Jr. does Harrison Ford, Tommy Lee Jones, Jesse Jackson, Ross Perot…
Harry Connick, Jr. can do more than sing (ID4, anyone?), he can do impressions, too. I don’t know what the hell is going on with his Tommy Lee Jones, but the Ford and Jackson are both pretty funny.
Eric Bana does Orlando Bloom
I think Eric Bana could beat up 10 Orlando Blooms. I really do.
