Tom Tom Getting Star Wars Character GPS Voices

Published by at 7:30 pm under Movies,Videos

I usually hate store-bought GPS because it’s small, expensive and you have to hide it every time you get out of your car, lest your friendly neighbors bash in your window and steal it.

But Tom Tom has an idea that could get even me to purchase their product. They’re introducing a line of Star Wars character voices that read your directions for you. The video above shows a Vader recording session (seriously, who is doing the voice? It’s pretty damn perfect), and it’s a funny way to kick off the campaign.

Also on the way are Threepio, Yoda and Han Solo. The first two I understand, but Solo? I assume Harrison Ford has nothing to do with this, so I guess they’re going to find a good Han Solo impersonator? Because those exist? Sure, why not.

I think Vader’s voice is the Chad Vader guy. He did the voice for Vader in The Force Unleashed as well. Just a guess!
