The Final Countdown: Street Fighter Cameos, a Commando Remake and Disneyland Secrets

Published by under Final Countdown

Go here for Street Fighter cameos.

Who’s that in the background there? Street Fighter games over the years have been filled with a number of cameos that I’m guessing many of you missed, as you were too busy beating the shit out of your friends or staring and Cammy’s ass. Can’t really fault you for either, but check out these guest appearances you might have overlooked.

No secret guests on Unreality’s Facebook page…yet.

Zora Link Cosplay is More Art than Costume

Published by under Images,Video Games

zora1.jpg

So, he (she?) might not be a hot as this glorious Princess Zelda from a few weeks ago, but man, without a doubt this is the coolest, most detailed Link costume I’ve ever seen. Also, Link gets to avoid looking like a tool because you can’t see his face or hair most of the time, the main problem with any Link cosplay costume.

According to the artist, Zoroko, from (surprise) DeviantArt, the thing cost $300 to put together, but can you really put a price on going down in the cosplay hall of fame here on Unreality? I think not.

Why We Play Our Favorite Games

Published by under Images,Video Games

motivation.jpg

This is a pretty cool little graphic from the folks over at Kotaku that breaks down the reasons as to why we play the top 100 games of all time.  What are the top 100? Eh, imagine practically every classic franchise ever, and it’s bound to have at least one game on there.

I thought it was strange that “salvation” was one of the primary reasons for fighting behind many games, but then I realized they mean “saving the [kingdom, world, universe] rather than a spiritual awakening or sin absolution. I guess that makes more sense. I also find it funny that “goo” and “tentacles” need rescuing some time.

A Wild Abra Appears! On Chatroulette

Published by under Images,Video Games

abra-troll.jpg

I’ve seen some decent costumes on Chatroulette, but they’re usually Batman, Spider-man or guys dressed up as girls who reveal quite a nasty surprise when the camera pans down.

But this one has to be one of my favorites, as I’m shocked I haven’t seen any other Pokemon-related trolls on the site thus far. Just a loooot of dongs.

Teleport is in fact the perfect skill for Chatroulette, and it’s a shame this poor horny kid can’t appreciate how hilarious this all is.

Steampunk Star Wars Cosplay is Cooler Than it Should Be

Published by under Images,Movies

steam1.jpg

Someone recently asked me if I thought we could go one day on the site without some sort of Star Wars reference.

My response to that, why the hell would we? Despite George Lucas’ best efforts, Star Wars is still awesome, and because of that, the series spawns infinite amounts of cool stuff that I frequently post here.

The latest? A series of Steampunk cosplay from Outland Armor. I never quite understood the whole Steampunk thing, but it’s hard to argue that these costumes aren’t pretty amazing. Check out the gallery below:

Play Mario Bros. as Samus, Link Mega Man and More

mario-game.jpg

(click to play)

I think I might have just stumbled across the greatest flash game of all time.  It’s Super Mario Bros, but it lets you play as a variety of classic 8-bit characters, with their full array of powers. As you can see above in addition to Mario (who would play as him?) there’s Link, Mega Man, Samus, Contra dude and I believe, Castlevania dude. I never learned their names,

Each character has their own unique powers, and it’s a lot of fun to kill Goombas with swords and bullets. I’m not sure how long the game goes, as I only beat the first few levels or so with Link, but I think its decently long. Enjoy wasting away your afternoon.

Go play here.

Humans vs. Animals in Movies: Who Ya Got?

Published by under Images,Lists,Movies,Videos

 punchsaddles.jpg

In real life, there aren’t many animals that a human being could defeat in a fight.  I mean, think about how difficult it would be just to take down an ordinary house cat.  Sure, you’d end up winning, but not without a ton of scratches and bite marks.  A pissed off German Shepard?  Forget it.

In the movies, though, anything is possible, including winning fights against animals far more dangerous than cats and dogs.  I tried to find clips of as many man vs. animal scenes from movies as I could. I tried to avoid clips where the humans have guns or sophisticated weapons, because then it’s not really a fight anymore.  Also, I’m still kind of annoyed I couldn’t find a clip or image of Mac killing a pig in Predator, but I acknowledged it just the same.  If you can think of any I left off – and I am sure you will – let me know in the comments section.  And remember – I’m looking for fights, not killings!  Enjoy.

Behold The Silver Mirror Man

Published by under Images

Silver Mirror Man

If you’ve ever had a chance to visit the Griffith Observatory you might have had a chance to see this guy.   They call him the “Silver Mirror Man.”  Oddly enough the observatory is located in Los Angeles, CA.  The reason I find it odd is because it seems this man may have escaped his natural habitat which is clearly Venice Beach.

Nevertheless you have to admit this get up is highly awesome.  It’s amazing to see the little shards of mirror reflecting on the pavement.  It’s almost as if he’s invisible.

In any event,  that certainly would win my “costume of the week” award if we ever had a costume of the week contest.  More pictures of the mirror man after the jump

15 Amazing Works of Dave MacDowell

Published by under Images

Dave MacDowell

For those that follow this site you might remember a post by our man Mr. Tassi entitled “The Return of King.”  Well, a visitor has let us know that the artist, Dave MacDowell is the creator of this fine piece of work.   Little did we know that Dave is an incredible artist who takes concepts in movies and mixes them.

This guy is truly talented.  Who would have thought to mix Jay and Silent Bob with the boys from Stand by Me?  Put it this way, of all the animated artists out there, MacDowell is up there.

Below are 15 of my favorite works from him (with titles)

The Morning Link: Little Kids Reenact The Hills

Published by under Morning Link

little-kids-hills.jpg

Holy crap, The Hills is still on? It seems like a million years ago I last watched that show, back when it was called Laguna Beach and a fraction of people still believed it wasn’t completely staged. But heading into its final season, someone thought it fit to reshoot parts of the show with kids, who are incidentally much better actors than the people on the show.

Go here to see The Hills kids.
