What Happens When You Do Nothing But Play Sim City for Three Years
httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ezZgAl6aN8
This video is full of pretty technical stuff, but what it shows is pretty impressive. Someone with waaay too much time on their hands spent three years developing a Sim City city with the absolute maximum population possible.
It tops out around six million, and the city was designed using a series of algorithms for absolute maximum population density, which is as exactly as complicated as it sounds. If you like that sort of thing, you’ll probably enjoy watching the process demonstrated in this video.

Freakin’ awesome!!!
Freakin’ nuts!!!
I’ve seen master’s theses less complicated than this. Hell, my dad got a doctorate in nuclear physics in 18 months. (And, no, I have no idea what it’s about. I looked at it when I got to college, said f’ it, and told him good job. Something about 3 nucleon free particle interaction)
This Sim thing makes that look dull. How does someone get so obessessed with coming up with this stuff? NASA should hire him/her for the lunar colony program!
