The Totally Rad Retro Commercial for Mega Man 10
httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TwbQi_G9cB0
Memo to every company ever: Your goal in advertising should always be to make an ad so cool, that websites will feature it even without being paid to do so.
Well, the team behind Mega Man 10 can say mission accomplished for that one, as this incredibly retro ad features everything that was tubular about the old games, and it’s nice to see that the company has learned to embrace the past.
That being said, I would totally be open to a dramatic reinterpretation of the franchise with killer graphics and excellent gameplay. I’m just saying…you can do both.

This commercial would have been perfect if they would have used a console that might have fit the time better. No matter how much I looked at alternate models of the classic systems, I wasn’t able to find what system they show in this video. It could very well be made up entirely. Nevertheless, it still looks about as old as a Colecovision and the controller looks a bit like the Atari 2600 joystick. I couldn’t help but continue to wonder exactly where the fuck in the past I was.

This is not cool. It’s really dumb.
I hope it is as difficult as some of the originals. I’m tired of games being centered around the flashy graphics and the story line. Give me a platform scroller that is difficult as fuck and I’ll be buried in it for a long time.
Pile o’ shite. Yeah, really rad maaaan
