Only in Korea Can You Do Stand-Up Comedy About Starcraft
God help me, I think I was born in the wrong country. I should be in Korea, where Starcraft is the goddamn national sport, which means I could actually participate in coversations around the water cooler about last night’s “big game.”
How popular is Starcraft in Korea? So much so that a guy doing impressions of the game’s characters is a smash hit on the stand-up circuit. This video is pretty amazing, as watching him spit out two-thirds of an SCV’s English phrases is hilarious to watch. His Zealot impression is a huge audience hit, and I have to say, the guy’s good, but he’s really missing some “YOU REQUIRE MORE VESPENE GAS!”
