Neytiri For Life ‘Yo

I’ve seen Avatar. You’ve seen Avatar. Most of us have seen this movie. Now, other than the folks who actually made and appeared in this movie, did it really affect you that much? Granted it sparked discussions and it may very well change movies from this point forward from a technological perspective, but come on!
Has your life been altered or changed in a significant way as to warrant a tattoo to symbolize your devotion to it? Not only that, but to one character in the film?
A. By the wrinkles in his neck this guy appears to be in his late 40s or 50s.
B. He can’t possibly be proud of this.
C. Whoever made this tattoo did a horrible job. At least make it good and accurate. This is like a crappy cartoon. Clean it up guys.

There was an article, from CNN!, on people who were so touched by the movie they became depressed with the world they lived in. Friggin suicidal. http://www.cnn.com/2010/SHOWBIZ/Movies/01/11/avatar.movie.blues/index.html
Oh, come on! You know, the 3D wasn’t even that great! And yes, I saw it in IMAX. Yeah, it’s good 3D, but it is far from life changing. Pandora looks amazing, but I’ve seen fantasy worlds before, we all have. And even though the 3D serves its purpose, of creating a feeling of immersion, it’s still just 3D, which we’ve also seen before, and it really isn’t that great. No matter how you take it, it’s still just an incremental step up from the already high standards of CG we already have, using 3D effects that, in the end, are projected in the exact same way that every other 3D movie is projected. No matter how good the CG is and no matter how well implemented the 3D is, it’s still being projected by the same technology as all the other unimpressive 3D movies that have come out in the last three years. It’s a great movie.
It’s. Just. Not. That. Great.
Yeah, the tattoo artist isn’t that good of an artist. Now this guy is going to be walking around with this cartoonish looking tat. The more I compare the pic with the tattoo, I can’t help but get the feeling that this guy should get part of his money back.
The movie changed my life quite a bit. I can’t get aroused anymore unless my girlfriend puts on blue body paint.
