Starcraft II Beta Mothership Rush

I’ve seen a lot of HD videos from the Starcraft II start pouring fourth on the internet this past week, now that the beta is online after more than a DECADE of waiting.

This is probably one of my favorite matches I’ve seen thus far, as it shows the awesome power of the new Protoss uber-unit, the Mothership, which has the power to kill well, everything and we get to see one of its supremely awesome powers, the black hole, which traps units inside for a period of time so the ship can reign down destruction on everything else.

I’m really looking forward to seeing what the Korean pros do with this new game. Sure, I’ll play it myself, but Starcraft these days is almost better as a spectator sport if you ask me. Damn, I think I’m turning Asian as we speak…

nice to look at, but the best thing is, when the enemy first sees the mothership and chats “what?” XD

yeah that was a great play by the protoss player. I really had to laugh at the “what?” :D

But i’ve got to say, after all i’ve seen from sc2, I just don’t like the graphics as much as in sc1. especially the terran buildings look like some McDonalds toys, not as cool and techy as the old ones. And everything glows and moves so much, it kinda looks like what WoW would look like if it was a rts.

But it definitely has some very interesting new units, and it’ll at least be fun to try out.
