A Mega Man 8-bit FPS? Make It So!
httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uAXA0zDIwJ0&feature=player_embedded
“Doom” meets “Mega Man” isn’t normally a pair you thought would be a match made in heaven, but after watching this short preview video, I WANT IT. It’s an 8-bit FPS featuring Mega Man blasting away his enemies, and I think if you did it right, it could be like kind of a retro Team Fortress 2 with different classes if you made all the bosses playable characters.
Sure, you could upgrade the graphics, but as proven with Mega Man 9, the best way to do nostalgia is to change nothing at all. Hell, I’m still waiting for a Nintendo 64-only sequel to Super Smash Bros. What, a boy can dream can’t he?

Aaaah totally brilliant! When can i buy??
Really goes to show why head bobbing is usually an option to be turned off. I got motion sickness trying to watch the 30 second clip.
DO WANT!!!1!
But really, THAT’S the kind of stuff Capcom should be making.
You get 2 groups there! People who like FPS’ and People who get Nostalgic for Mega Man. Hell, you could even have a hard-as-hell campaign mode!
[...] Called Mega-Man 8-Bit Deathmatch, this fan-made game is simply “a new multiplayer mod that aims to put Doom and Megaman into a blender and spew out a fun new way to blast your buddies online.” Video after the break. Sure, you could upgrade the graphics, but as proven with Mega Man 9, the best way to do nostalgia is to change nothing at all.

That’s an interesting implementation. It’s a bit disorienting, but it looks really cool.
