“They’re Made Out of Meat” with Ben Bailey
httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gaFZTAOb7IE
This rather bizarre short film is like something out of a Twilight Zone episode, and it’s even more surreal once Cash Cab‘s Ben Bailey shows up. It’s an exchange between two aliens, spying on earth, deciding to withhold their presence from us because we’re “made out of meat,” a concept they can’t seem to get their heads around. According to them, space is filled with a myraid of other non-meat-related intelligences that they’d much rather talk to, and they seem to find it particularly funny that the meat-beings can push air through their meat to sing. Meat, singing? Hah!
This is based on a very clever essay that turned into to an email forwarding chain. I really hope that hydrogen based intelligence isn’t currently hovering around our world, avoiding contact with us because they intercepted a transmission of “Meet the Kardashians,” which features entire piles of useless meat. I KNEW that show was more destructive than anyone could possibly imagine!
