The Only iPhone Case I’d Ever Get
I hate phone cases. The justification give to me is “oh, it prevents it from being scratched!” Yeah, OK, but I’d much rather have a few nicks and scratches on my phone than a quarter inch thick barrier of rubber or plastic surrounding it on all sides, making it look worse than scratches ever could.
HOWEVER, when something like this awesome Game Boy iPhone case comes along, everything I just said goes completely out the window, and I want one immediately more than anything in the world.
Unfortunately, this was snapped by some random tourist in Japan, and no one knows where you can buy one. I’ll make you a deal. If you can find me somewhere that I can buy this exact case, I will buy you one when I’m getting one for myself…provided it doesn’t cost an absurd amount of money. I’m not kidding. No, finding instructions on how to make something similar does not count.

I don’t own an iPhone, so I’m not trying to get one from you or anything, just letting you know.
Good find, but that’s one’s a bit too cartoony for me, and I’d want to see it on a real phone. Still cool though.
There is also a website called GelaSkins.com that lets you upload your own images to create a case from. I did a test with a Game Boy image I found, and it looks almost exactly like that picture. I don’t know if they’d consider the Game Boy a copyrighted image, though. They charge 15 bucks to do it.

It seems that most of the buzz around this case started back in April of ’09. Since it’s been close to a year I’m surprised I’m not having an easier time finding one. I’ll let you know when I do, though, because I want one.

Apparently this was where it was first spotted. I still can’t believe these aren’t manufactured yet!

Oh my god. i still have my old school gameboy, sometimes i still whip it out and try to beat disney’s Pocahontas. good times.
