Yeah, it's bound to get really campy, and this group may value attributes that few value outside of the group, but considering the size of hollywood nowadays in terms of manpower, there's more than enough people to justify it. I mean, how many of us would have seen Slumdog if it wasn't nominated? So even though they've kind of become as irrelevant as the Grammys, they provide a pretty good heads up for stuff we might have missed.
