Not Fair. as you put it "...editors must see these shots and think “damn, I’m getting fired.”" As an editor I can tell you what we think when we see shots such as these. " damn those a--holes on set f--ked me again." Oh we see the mistakes, no one in a production looks more closely at the footage, but if those shots are our only option then we use em. 95% of the audience won't notice anyway. (the rest get fodder for their websites)So please be kind it really isn't the editors fault... The Continuity Person or the D.O.P. you can let em have it, those the lazy Jerks!
