Traditional Japanese Pocket Monsters

And here all this time I thought that Pokemon were ALREADY drawn in traditional Japanese artwork style, but here I go thinking Manga is the only historical art style of Japan. Some awesome artist whose name I totally can’t pronounce did this series of close to 200 Pokemon in a wicked cool art style you might find hanging in the halls of ancient Chinese emporers.

I stopped playing after Gold and Silver, so I don’t know some of these weird ones, but they’re all pretty damn cool. Any fans out there know how many Pokemon they’re up to these days? It’s gotta be over 500.

    That is seriously sweet art, might merge them and make it my wallpaper for my laptop. BTW they are up to 493 pokemon
