The iPad Makes MadTV Relevant Again

The internet is all aflame for the most part about how much Apple’s new iPad sucks. Though a die hard minority are enthused, most of us view it as nothing but an iPhone on steroids, rather than a keyboardless, touchscreen iMac like we all thought it could be. And the name? Well, that video should clear up why THAT was a terrible idea.
I’m split on all the hatred, as I do think this is a step forward in a lot of areas. I mean, what science fiction movie haven’t you seen where people aren’t carrying around touchscreen “datapads” that look like this? But it’s just lacking so many features, multitasking (the real dealbreaker), a front OR rear camera, flash support and it’s all still on AT&T’s shitty 3G network.
We wanted a real computer, and what we got was really just a toy. And it CAN’T EVEN MAKE PHONE CALLS. I love my iPhone, but there’s no way I’m buying something like this until it becomes a full-on netbook replacement. And I think it will be, the first gen of ANY new product are always lacking in features. Once the iPad gets them (and hopefully changes its name), I do believe it just might revolutionize everything the way it was supposed to.

I kinda like the Ipad. I find my laptop to be to big to be really portable and my Iphone to small to browse or watch video’s on. And why would you want to make a phone call with it, it’s not a phone. Don’t really care for the camera.
Flash support would be nice but I also get Apple’s standpoint. The Ipad and the Iphone are all about apps. With flash support, the game/video apps wouldn’t be so popular (just wait for the hulu, miniclip etz. apps).
