The World’s First Sex Robot Has Come To Life: The Apocolypse is Upon Us

Published by at 4:30 pm under News

Robot

It was just a matter of time but man I didn’t think this was going to happen until at least 2030.  If women out there have something to fear then this is the time to be afraid.  Then again I can only assume that male sex dolls are also upon us.

TrueCompanion helped kick off the Saturday session of the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo with a press conference in which the site debuted “the world’s first sex robot.” Meet the Roxxxy TrueCompanion. This doll has an artificial intelligence engine programmed to learn your likes and dislikes. She can listen, feel, and speak to her owner.

The doll goes on sale next week for roughly $7,000-9,000 plus a subscription fee, which is “comparable to a cell plan,” according to Roxxxy’s creator.

Any thoughts on this guys?  I mean seriously.  If there aren’t enough technological reasons (Facebook) for divorce these days, these “companions” are going to destroy personal relationships. I really don’t know what to make of this but after seeing Roxxxy, one can only assume that within ten years these things might be “Avatar” like in quality.

I think the time line may be shorter than 10 years.
Are you saying you want a 8 foot tall blue alien sexbot?

    Nttawwt.

I don’t think these are going to cause divorces, simply because the guys that use them probably can’t talk to a woman without pissing themselves in the first place.

This is going to be HUGE in japan.

    Haha @JZ

Yeah, I don’t see this causing too much relationship problems. I’m thinking husbands or boyfriends who resort to this will be bored of them within hours. Also, I agree with Madison. I’m not thinking the average socially acceptable is looking for a sexbot.

I wouldn’t want to bang something so squarely in the middle of the uncanny valley.

I guess this is the next step for the already creepy RealDoll, but that doesn’t really make it any better.

I can’t imagine actually paying a large sum of money for a fuck-bot but I kind of wanna give one a go just to see what it’s like.

I don’t think its gonna ruin any relationships.. i mean its like masturbation… the only people who are gonna use these are who can’t get into relationships… its just a tool for guys who can’t get girls..

Sex toys have been around forever and no matter how good they get, they’ll never be the real thing. I highly doubt that one day you’ll be able to go out at night to a bar with your friends and pick up a robot lady that looks so real you can’t tell she’s a robot. No one’s going to fill up bars and social places alike with robot women for guys to hit on. One night stands (one of the most fun and arrogant things a guy can do) will never happen with the robot ladies. And if a guy is married or has a girlfriend and he gets one of these things, it’ll only be fun for a little while. Soon enough a guy will get bored because the thing is a robot, and no matter how many times he asks the robot woman to **** his **** while ****ing his **** and ****ing his *****er upside down while he’s in the garage with her, the robot will probably just say “Does not compute. ‘Diddle’ is unknown command.” Either that or the wife/girlfriend will step up her game.

Subscription fee? For what? Do they take back the robot if they don’t pay? There’s a video of this ‘bot talking “sexy” as a demonstration at the expo. Freaking creepy. I forget where I saw the video, but it’s worth finding to see how batshit insane it would be “talking” to this thing.

i think this is just the beginning, i agree with all you guys, it would be kind of bizarre to have sex with a robot like this, yeah it’s creepy but as i said, it’s just the beginning of the sexbots era, just compare this to video games, if we look backwards the Atari 2600 had poor graphics and sound but what about now? i bet you prefer to play with the xbox 360 or the ps3 than the atari, dont you? it’s the same with this, just wait two decades and maybe this sexbots will look/feel like a real women.
