When Salvador Dali Meets Star Wars
I’m not quite sure where this wacky piece of art originated from, as even in the large version of the picture, I can’t seem to find an artist’s signature, so whoever you are out there, bra-vo.
There’s a lot of Star Wars “art” out there, but this is one of the most surrealistic examples I’ve ever seen, with twig-legged AT-ATs, nude lightsaber wielders and Greek goddess Slave Leia. Is the second AT-AT sniffing the first one’s tail?
If anyone knows where this came from, and can point me in the direction of any similar pieces, let me know.

The signature seems to be right above the rocks on the bottom right corner of the painting but I can’t make out what it says.
Pretty cool…I’d like to see more of these. Maybe some flattened Ewoks hanging over tree branches…
I thought it was considered a faux pas in the modern art world to sign a painting on the front. I’ve heard it that signing can reduce it to “motel art.” I guess because it could take away from the painting or cause the artist’s name get more attention than the actual art itself. Or something like that… :-/
That said, that picture is really awesome. Thanks for sharing it!

STOP WITH THE STAR WARS REFERENCES(damn, every site I go on has at least two or three Star Wars references/parodies. It’s old it’s tired. Stop it.).
There is a similar homage to Dali in a piece of “Jeff Wayne’s War of the Worlds” artwork. Here it is piece: http://www.dylonwhyte.com/parson_nathaniel.jpg
cool piece though. (oops double-post)
