So What Did You Get for Christmas?
Now that we’re back into the swing of things here (at least until New Year’s festivities start), I figured I’d ask what people got for Christmas, and see if anyone got anything outlandishly cool.
Myself, I got a ACII, as seen above, and also Saint’s Row 2 because I’ve been hearing about it for a whole damn year and I figured it was time to check it out. I also got a fourth Xbox controller at long freaking last, though unfortunately that means I no longer get the big screen when playing Halo with my friends. Lame. I also got a bunch of cash which I received when I returned most of the clothes I was bought, so I’m figuring out what to do with that. No, I don’t want a Wii or PS3.
So what did you get? Finally going to start playing COD:MW2 after holding out to get it for free for Christmas? If you did, let me know if your Xbox red rings three days later. Mine did, and then my just brother’s did, and I’m starting to sense a pattern here.

Well, for Hannukah, I got mostly clothes…but my woman is going to get me District 9 on DVD, so there’s that…
How about this for a mindf*ck:
I was fully expecting socks for Christmas… seriously. I already had gotten games/other stuff that I had my eyes on before christmas. So, I open my girl’s gift and its socks. Then, she brings out the second gift, and it’s a freaking shotgun. Yeah, the real type, zombie killing” pimp one.
So, I got socks and a shotgun for Christmas.
I got District 9 and Star Trek. But I got money which will be going towards Mass Effect 2, so I’ll count that as a late Christmas present.
My soon-to-be-in-laws got me some steaks and cash.
HOW BADASS is that? Steak and Cash?!
My girl got me a nice flatscreen pc monitor and some games – but they are old and I’m sure everyone has played / finished them. For instance, right now I am totally addicted to Fallout 3.
Santa didn’t get me THE Hangover. He brought me A hangover. Thanks, Santa!

I got a Wii with the following games: Super Mario Galaxy, Dead Space, Zelda Twilight Princess and Scene it
I also got the newest Zelda game for my DS (Zelda rules, you can never play enough of it)
And in terms of some tv shows, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia Season 3 and How I Met Your Mother season 2 (and I bought season 4 yesterday)
All in all, I am very happy with what I received for Christmas and the lack of “The Hangover” on DVD

but the new garmins let you pick a complete with flapping wings hawk instead of the little blue arrow…

I got a new binary watch, a bunch of clothes, a book, a model trebuchet and a tower fan from my girlfriends parents for our hot apartment (hot Australian christmas FTW). Also got an EB games voucher so I bought DJ hero. I can finally tell you that it is a shitload of fun. After finishing the 800 different guitar hero/rock band variants it’s a great change. Will be playing the hell out of it for the next year methinks.
@lostty how the hell did you manage to get given a wii with decent games? Score. I’ve banned everyone from buying me games as gifts except for my brother.
I vote the socks and shotgun as the coolest gift and no im not a redneck…although i cant officially say any of my gifts were really “cool” i did get all useful things but ill leave someone else to tell you guys they got an electric handmixer for when he loves to cook for the ladies when they come over

I just got shirts, CDs, records, and Assassins Creed II.
I finished it yesterday afternoon and I got it on Thursday night.
Got some great stuff. A steadycam kit so I can film stuff without shaking the cam
Finally got a new monitor, gorgeous 25 inch widescreen. A few Blu-Rays (Watchmen Ultimate Cut, Star Trek) and ACII.
And as a matter of fact I actually gave my father The Hangover on Blu-Ray.
I’m heading to Jamaica in 3 weeks so I just got spending money from everyone.
However, I bought my brother a 360 with Gears of War 1 and 2 which he promptly traded in for a load of PS3 games!! (I somehow knew to keep the receipt…)
I gave the girlfriend money cause she’s going to Jamaica with me.
My mum got the usual crap, perfume, pyjamas etc
My Dad got paint for his livingroom (that’s what he asked for), a Man Utd polo shirt and a Killzone 2.
Felt kinda bad not having anything to play with over Christmas so I bought myslf Far Cry 2 off Amazon for £4 and 2 came!! Thankfully the mate got a PS3 aswell so he got the extra copy.
I got Wii Cheer 2 (the first on rocked!) and a few books: The Strain, the new Sookie Stackhouse and Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister (the same guy that wrote Wicked – which I’m not sure if I wanna read or not…the Stepsister one got the better reviews on Amazon)
Absent was the Kindle I begged for *sulk*
