Robin Hood Trailer: If Maximus Was a Knight
httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYJ4laqvJOM
There’s very little you can actually say about this first trailer for Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood. It features swordplay, horseplay and a bit of bow and arrowing set to a rock soundtrack, but despite all that, I can in no way see anything resembling any iteration of Robin Hood in there.
I guess Scott and Crowe are going for an ultra-realistic portrayal of the folk hero, which means he’s something like William Wallace with a smaller sword and a bow on his back. I have to admit, it is nice to see Crowe back in the nitty gritty with blood and dirt on his face, and if the team that brought us Gladiator can even come close to repeated that triumph, this movie will be success in most people’s eyes. We shall see.

Because, as we all know, everything in Robin Hood’s time had a rock soundtrack floating in the air.
The trailer seemed to be moving a bit too quickly for my liking, and it was very difficult for me to grasp the idea of a non-comedy based on Robin Hood.
Otherwise it looks huge.
