A List of Movies with Numbers in the Title, From 1 to 25

I decided to do another post somewhat in accordance with yesterday’s sort of game-to-play-while-bored-on-a-long-car-trip literal A to Z list of CGI movie characters.  This time, though, I’m going with movies with numbers in their titles.  I managed to find a movie for each number up to 25.  For some numbers, there were many, many movies with that number in their titles, but for others – like the oh so elusive number 14 – I had to do a bit of research.

For the purposes of this list, sequels don’t count.  And the ordinal forms of numbers count (like first, second, etc.).  Cool?  Alright – keep reading for a list of movies with numbers in the title, from 1 to 25.  See if you can think of others, and try to think of a movie with a number in the title before you reach that number on the list.  Or just look at the list.

As an aside, it looks as though Brad Pitt is in a lot of movies with numbers in the title – Se7en, Seven Years in Tibet, Twelve Monkeys, Oceans’ Eleven, Twelve, and Thirteen…I’m guessing if there’s a record for this sort of thing, it’s all his.

    Cool list, funny Idea!
I would have chosen Thirteen over The 13th Warrior, it’s a much better movie.
Couldn’t you came up with something 26-like, or did you just stop?

I probably could have kept going, but I figured more than 25 is overkill. No “26″ movies come to mind, but there’s 27 Dresses, 28 Days Later…

Four Brothers is the first one that came to mind with me. Mark Wahlberg acting at its finest.

    @ Laura

I had seen Four Rooms in high school, and I’ve always felt it was a really underrated movie.

Also could have gone with Four Weddings and Funeral, or the Fantastic Four.

Four Rooms is awesome. I like “anthology” type movies like that.

It’s funny you mention Brad Pitt being in a lot of number movies, because I was thinking the same thing as I read down the list.

I’m glad you chose Stalag 17 and not 17 Again. *shudder*

I think Bruce Willis was going for a straight with Four Rooms, The Fifth Element, The Sixth Sense…I don’t think Lucky Number Slevin can count though.
Whole Nine Yards, 16 Blocks, 12 Monkeys,

I tried making a list using other films, taking the suggestion from the A-Z of CGI characters, but fell short at 25, so I included a film between 8 and 9. Some of them are a bit dodgy, though.
    One Hour Photo
    Two for the Road
    The Three Amigos
    Four Weddings and a Funeral
    Five Easy Pieces
    The Sixth Sense
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
    Dinner at Eight
    BONUS! 8 1/2
    Nine Queens
    10
    11 Harrowhouse
    12 Angry Men
    Assault on Precinct 13
    Fourteen Hours
    Fifteen Wives
    16 Blocks
    Number Seventeen
    Hangar 18
    Nineteen Eighty-Four
    Twenty Bucks
    21
    2:22
    23
    24 7: Twenty Four Seven

Just go to IMDB, pick a film with a number in it. Go to tags and click on films with numbers in it. It ain’t that hard!

    @ Ravi

Yeah, but it’s got a number before the words in the title, so I let it slide. What a stupid title.

    There’s a movie named “26″ in IMDB.

27 and 28 already mentioned, then “29th Street”.

I gave up after 40, since it starting looking like a TV series with numbers.

Nice list though. Never would have thought of it myself, and a lot of good movies on the list, too. I wish college football wasn’t over….
