Harry Potter Loves to Smoke Weed
Just remember folks, people who act in movies are basically NOTHING like their characters. Well at least that holds true for Daniel Radcliffe:
The party-loving Harry Potter idol, a spliff between his fingers, could barely stop chuckling as the girl daubed his face at the house bash.Fellow reveller Wadia Tazi, 26, said: “Daniel was laughing and seemed to find it funny. But he didn’t really look like he knew what was going on.”
The screen idol, 20, earlier lit up the joint in front of guests and repeatedly took deep drags. He also walked around the flat blurting out: “I love weed.” He is a kids’ favourite. I’m not sure what his fans will make of it.”
Yet just last year the £30million actor insisted: “I’ve been around some amazing people and still managed to keep a real childlike view of the world. I’m not into drugs.”
Is this really a surprise? You gotta figure with all these weird nude plays Radcliffe appears in, it’s a safe bet that the guy has toked on some reefer every once in while.
I mean I hope people didn’t really think that he was anything like Mr. Potter, the goody two shoes would never even kiss a girl let alone do drugs type. Come on now.
Radcliffe’s a freak.

Smoking weed is normal behaviour according to my world view, not smoking weed is weird.

I’m with S3ntient on this one. Maybe it’s from years of being in the service industry, but I just assume most people I meet smoke.
Meh. I am against drugs of all kind. I turn 20 in three weeks and I’ve never had so much as a drop of alcohol, even. But I think that demonizing someone for doing it is a bad idea.
Granted, if they do something that demonizes themselves because of it (like hit someone while driving drunk or do something stupid while doped up like steal your parents car, rob a 7-11 and then OD), it’s warranted.
Or by being a hypocrite and saying “I’m not into drugs” and then doing drugs… yeah, you’re an idiot then.
You can not be into drugs and experience them and realize how amazing some of them can be. Peoples’ opinions change.
There are kids out there that are fans, but I grew up reading Harry Potter. The first book came out when I was in middle school, now I am 22 so to me this is really awesome.

That said, toking up in the middle of a party like that is kind of fucked up, and blatantly going back on a quote like that is too.
The biggest Potter heads these days seem to be those of us who have grown up with them (college aged kids or late high school, basically.) And, to be honest with you, I totally think the actual character Harry Potter would totally smoke the ganja if given the opportunity XD
