The 50 Worst Acted One-Liners in Video Game History
Dear Lord, I’m not sure how long it took to put something like this together, but I’m thankful someone did. This six minute video showcases not the fifty worst, but the fifty worst ACTED voiceover lines in video game history, you know, before games had like actual plots and casting directors and stuff like that. It’s well worth watching, but if you must skip through, at least watch the top 20.
Also, there’s a game called “Michigan: Report from Hell”? I need to find that, immediately.

and then my favorite:
“All your base are belong to us.”
Oh wow that’s bad O_O
Not surprised Dynasty Warriors was featured a few times on that list. There is a whole lot of choice one-liners to work out from that series.
Two of the best (or worst?):

Number 40 was my favourite. “Now bare my arctic blast.” Ridiculous. Though, 18 also made me laugh.
The Mega Man 8 one cracks me up the most. They didn’t even bother to re-record the lines after the voice “actor” screwed up.

[…] We’ve always been a little skeptical about video game acting, since we’d really much rather play Pacman than have to sit through tiresome (pretty though they may be) interludes with tacky “drama” and trite dialog. Of course, we’re all for the increased interactivity of media, and we have to admit that there’s something appealing to the notion that one day cinema, television and video games will be indistinguishable. And yet, even as increasingly famous actors lend their voices to video games, the performances are generally dreadful, as demonstrated in this vidsticle of The 50 Worst Acted Video Game Lines. […]
